General:
What types of media can you digitize?
Our homepage typically lists the media types we currently work with. You can find them within the drop-down above “Add to Cart”. Reach out to us if you don’t see your media type and we may be able to adapt. Our eventual goal is to be able to digitize any obsolete media.
What is the process for digitizing my media, and how do I prepare my media?
- Create your order: Once you gather your media, create your order and add to cart all the media types (photos, tapes, slides, etc.) you would like to digitize.
- Send your media: Prepare your media to be shipped by packing it safely and securely. Provide your own shipping option, as we currently do not provide shipping.
- View your media: In a few weeks, your media should be digitized for viewing and sharing. We will provide you with a link to a temporary server where you should download your media within 90 days. If you miss the 90 day mark, no worries, just email us and we will send another temporary link.
- Media return: After digitizing, we will ship back your media to you.
How long does the digitization process take?
Digitization can take anywhere from 1 week to 3 weeks (not including shipping and handling), dependent on media type. We are a brand new business but we strive to work as fast as we can!
What happens to my original media after digitization?
Once digitized, we will immediately ship back your original media to the return address given to us from your shipping label.
What file formats do you offer?
We offer many different file formats, by requests. Typically we provide you with high quality file formats dependent on media type and function.
Can you convert my media to a specific format I need?
Please reach out to us if you have a specific file format that you need from us - even after we provide you with your digital media link.
How do I ensure the quality of the digitized media?
We follow standard procedures when digitizing your media, while also paying attention to the latest trends and changes in file format types that are compatible with modern technology.
Do you offer discounts for bulk orders or specific customer groups?

What security measures do you take to protect my media?
We temporarily host your digital media on a private server and provide you a password protected link when they are ready for you to download. After that temporary time period, we will house your media within encrypted and password protected non-cloud-based storage for a year before it is permanently deleted.
What kind of warranty do you offer on your services?
If payment is made before digitization, we offer full refunds on all unsuccessful transfers or conversions. If you choose the “Easy Digitize” method, we will only invoice you for successful transfers.
Do your services include processing and development of film (photography or video)?
NiceMedia does not include the processing and developing of film within their services. However, once your film is developed we are happy to digitize the film roll, prints, or reel for you. Please reach out to us directly if you need advice or suggestions on where to get film developed, we are happy to provide suggestions.
Digitizing:
Can you digitize damaged or moldy media?
Currently, NiceMedia is unable to digitize any damaged or moldy media. Please reach out if you need suggestions on possible solutions for damaged or moldy media.
What if some of my media is unlabeled or unidentified?
We will try our best to label media in regards to its content. Unfortuately, certain circumstances require us to label media by media type and transaction number.
Can you edit or organize my digitized media?
Yes, we provide editing media through our Quality Enhancement Services. Please refer to our homepage for details on Quality Enhancement.
Media Conversion:
Do you charge extra for complex conversions?
Please reach out to us directly through email. In most cases we will not charge extra.
Do you offer lossless or compressed conversion options?
Yes, by request only. Please reach out to us!
Quality Enhancement:
Can you remove specific noise or imperfections from my media?
Yes! We will work closely with the quality of your media to make it look as new as possible.
What if the quality enhancement process alters the original content?
We will try our best to not alter the original content through our quality enhancement services. After you receive your digital revivals and are unsatisifed, please reach out and we will take another look at it.
Can you enhance the color or resolution of my media?
Yes! We have many different methods for enhancing the color of your old media. We also utilize the latest trends in creative tools, including artificial intelligence, to enhance the resolution of your media.
Do you offer different levels of quality enhancement with varying costs?
Yes, because quality enhancement is dependent on many variables, when you reach out to us we will provide you with a quote of services. The quote can be dependent on things like the duration of media, type of quality enhancement service, time spent on enhancement, and original quality of media.
